A sourcing plan, before you spend anything.
A String of Pearls answers how do we get from where we are to where we want to be. Share key elements of your strategy with Overture and it comes back with a staged plan of soundings, each one a step toward the position you described. Producing the plan costs nothing. You commit when you approve a stage, and not before.
Strategy in, a staged programme out.
Start from your strategy
Write your position and intent in your own words. Overture reads it into a structured brief: where you are, where you want to be, your scope, your exclusions, what you already know, and what constrains you. Anything your words do not say is left blank rather than guessed at.
See the roads, not just one
A target state usually admits more than one route. By geography, by capability, along the supply chain, into an adjacent segment. Overture proposes two or three, says which it recommends and why, and lays that one out in full straight away.
Every pearl earns its place
Each stage asks one specific question and points at the part of your brief it serves. A stage that can do neither is dropped rather than padded out. A three-pearl string that is right beats a six-pearl string that trails off.
You approve one pearl at a time
Nothing runs until you say so. Approve stage one at a single price; when it returns, see what it found against what you already knew, then replan with that evidence in hand. The programme never advances by itself.
One descent, chosen from several.
Routes you are not pursuing carry no niches and no prices: enough to choose on, not enough to act on. Switching between them is free and unlimited until you approve a stage, and the ones you leave stay live.
A programme is a tree, not a line. From any stage that has completed you can branch: a new string down a different road, inheriting the brief, the known landscape and everything found so far. Nothing already sounded is wasted, and the roads taken and not taken stay legible.
Nothing, until you approve a stage.
A proposal, not a prescription
Add a pearl, remove one, reorder them, or rewrite the question a stage asks. Editing is free and unlimited before you approve anything, because you know things your strategy document never said.
Counted against what you already knew
You list the companies you already have before anything runs. When a stage completes, what it found beyond that list is the discovery delta. A firm you flagged as a reference and Overture then finds on its own is reported as confirmed, not as a discovery: a smaller number, and a far more credible one.
Your strategy stays yours
A brief and a plan are your thesis in concentrated form. They are sealed to your organisation, never shared or aggregated across customers, and never used to train a model. Typed intake ships first; when document and website intake follow, the file itself is read in memory and never stored.
Approving a stage is billed at the same per-niche rate as any other sounding, so nothing here changes how you are charged. Get in touch to see a String of Pearls built from your own strategy.
